PERSPECTIVE

My career has developed at the intersection of commercial real estate, business operations, hospitality, finance, and the built environment. Across more than two decades, I have learned to view property not simply as physical space, but as an operating asset shaped by ownership decisions, tenant performance, customer experience, architecture, systems, and the people responsible for bringing it all together.

I began my professional career in financial performance and analytics with State Street Bank in Boston before returning to Florida in 2005 to help build and operate a multigenerational hospitality business while assuming increasing responsibility for commercial properties. Over the following two decades, I managed restaurant operations alongside multi-tenant shopping centers, gaining direct experience with financial performance, staffing, leasing, tenant relationships, vendor coordination, regulatory compliance, facilities, capital planning, and the daily discipline required to keep both businesses and properties operating effectively.

Managing businesses within the properties also placed me on both sides of the commercial lease. As a tenant, operator, property owner, landlord representative, and participant in commercial development, I gained a practical understanding of how buildings perform beyond the assumptions presented in a lease or financial model. I have worked through lease administration, tenant coordination, collections, construction, municipal approvals, landlord obligations, capital decisions, maintenance demands, and the operational consequences of design.

My commercial real estate experience later expanded into national retail property management, where I supported a large, multistate portfolio and worked across lease administration, landlord compliance, recoveries, facilities coordination, life-safety matters, capital responsibilities, and operational risk. That experience broadened my perspective from direct ownership and local operations to the systems, documentation, and accountability required across a geographically dispersed portfolio.

I hold a degree in Management, with concentrations in Finance and Organizational Systems, from Boston College, as well as an MBA from the University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business, with a focus on organizational behavior, management, and systems efficiency. 

I am a licensed Florida real estate sales associate, have completed the educational requirements for the Certified Property Manager designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management, and am an active member of the IREM Florida West Coast Chapter, along with local Sarasota-Manatee-Charlotte real estate affiliations.

Outside of my professional work, I enjoy spending time with my children, friends, and family. The Florida outdoors supports my fondness for kayaking, biking, and all things beach-related.
